Elk skin is a supple, soft leather (oil-tanned) that is stronger than other leather of the same weight. These are completely lined with a soft layer of wool; they were hand-stitched with a strong waxed thread and are decorated on the vamp with golden beads and a piece of turquoise stone. Finally, they are designed to fit well with a lace that ends in a bow on the tongue. The wide toe-box and soft sole are in keeping with the “barefoot” design for healthy feet. Every pair is individually hand-crafted in a unique leather and style combination; though some may appear similar, you might never find two pairs exactly the same.
